About Us
Bonacio Construction, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Sonny Bonacio, a life-long resident of Saratoga Springs, NY. Since that time, Bonacio Construction has developed over 1 million square feet of real estate in downtown Saratoga Springs. Sonny runs Bonacio Construction with precision and integrity thus earning the trust and respect of his colleagues, clients, and competitors.
The Bonacio Metal Shop, a division of Bonacio Construction, was created in 2000 to serve the miscellaneous iron needs of the construction company. For several years, it operated a small stair and rail shop in downtown Saratoga Springs. In 2008, the Bonacio Metal Shop moved to its current location in Gansevoort, NY to accommodate the growing needs of the construction company.
Today, the Bonacio Metal Shop serves not only the needs of Bonacio Construction and its clients but also a growing list of general contractors, developers, and custom home builders throughout New York's Capital Region.
We are committed to continually improving our processes, procedures, and practices to deliver a quality product on time and at a fair price. Our talented and dedicated crew of shop and field ironworkers are here to serve you. No job is too small for us – from a simple repair to a thousand tons of structural steel, we want to earn the right to be your first call for your next project.
Early Involvement
One aspect that sets us apart from our competitors is our ability to properly budget large scale projects from just a narrative or a rendering, so project feasibility can be evaluated. If the project is slated to move forward, we provide milestone budget confirmations and assist in guiding the structural design to ensure the budgets are hit.

Community Involvement
Bonacio Construction employees serve on a wide variety of organization boards throughout our community including the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Rebuilding Together Saratoga, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, Temple Sinai, and many others.
